Starting in January 2022, we offer Universal Pre-Kindergarten programming with Shenendehowa Central Schools. It is federally funded and provides for a 6 hour a day structured preschool program for 4 year olds living within the Shenendehowa community. At LGCFL, we understand preschoolers are naturally curious and motivated by hands-on, active learning. In a nurturing environment, children are supported to form strong relationships with peers and teachers, learn to be problem solvers, develop self-control, build self-confidence and accomplish goals. Daily routines are structured to provide students with an opportunity to learn independently, and participate in a combination of child and teacher directed activities. Teachers are mindful of every child's growth and focus on each child's individual needs. Children follow a curriculum that supports their developmental growth and prepares them for kindergarten.  All lessons and activities are bilingual and children are encouraged to use both languages while participating in daily activities.
